HLTSS00072 - Dental radiography skill set

Description

This skill set is targeted at individuals who have completed a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent and are currently working in the dental industry in dental work roles and are seeking to broaden their skills to include assisting with dental radiography work.

Need to be currently working in a dental practice and supply evidence of this.

  • Completed a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent.
    and
    A workplace letter from the participant’s current manager, on letterhead stating they are currently working in a dental work role.

    Completion of the Training Account Consent Form - you are required to upload a completed form at the time of enrolment. You can download a copy of the form under the Files & Resources tab below.
  • Apply the principles of radiation biology and protection in dental practice (HLTDEN021)

    Prepare to expose a prescribed dental radiographic image (HLTDEN022)

    Produce a prescribed dental radiographic image (HLTDEN023)

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.

Collaborate is a web-based online classroom collaboration tool that acts as a real-time virtual classroom. Students and lecturer will interact over the internet. You do not need to install any software and you can access the classroom from any computer that has internet connection, or a mobile telephone. That means you do not have to be in the same room together. You can access it from anywhere you have internet and a computer.

If you are ineligible for the subsidised fee the full fee cost of $5,746 will apply. Secondary school students not eligible for subsidised fee.
