Description

This module covers an understanding of financial service industry practices and compliance requirements, professional development, maintaining ethical principles and also covers a range of basic mathematical calculations using Microsoft Excel.

Skills Covered:
1. Develop effective workplace relationships, contribute to workgroup activities and deal effectively with issues and problems and conflict
2. Obtain data and resources for financial calculations, select appropriate methods and carry out financial calculations and check calculations and record outcomes
3. Identify scope, sectors and responsibilities of industry, identify and apply guidelines, procedures and legislation, identify sustainability issues, manage information, participate in and facilitate work team activities, plan work to be completed and develop and maintain personal competency

This course has either written or oral supervised assessment. Students will require access to Skype video chat for assessment purposes.
