Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade

National Code: MEM31922
TAFE SA Code: TP01420

Description

Start your career in engineering and fabrication with the nationally accredited Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade. This hands-on course is designed for apprentice boilermakers and welders in mining, manufacturing, and shipping. Here in SA, most boilermakers work in the manufacturing, construction, and mining industries, and there is especially high demand for skilled tradespeople in the ship and submarine building industry. Boilermakers generally work indoors in large workshops, or on construction sites during heavy engineering construction, such as shipbuilding or mineral processing plant equipment. Learn about fabrication techniques including forging and founding, welding and thermal cutting processes, and have the opportunity to go on to further specialist training with TAFE SA.
