Important Information

  • Applicants who successfully complete the Dental Assisting short course (http://www.tafesa.edu.au/xml/course/sc/sc_T593220007.aspx) will be given preference if they pass CSPA.
  • It is a requirement that all students have Hepatitis B surface immunity with antibody level 10IU/L or greater. Failure to provide evidence of your immunity during course counselling sessions may result in you not being able to commence your studies. Please enquire for further information.

Certificate III in Dental Assisting (HLT35015)
This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to confidently provide valuable assistance to a dental operator during a wide variety of oral health care procedures and administrative procedures. In addition to clinical skills, the program also has a strong focus on ensuring graduates can apply the fundamental principles of infection control and workplace health and safety. 9 core units plus 2 electives.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
