Description

This course aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge to confidently provide valuable assistance to a dental operator during a wide variety of oral health care procedures and administrative procedures. In addition to clinical skills, the program also has a strong focus on ensuring graduates can apply the fundamental principles of infection control and workplace health and safety.

Fees vary depending on subjects you enrol into. This course also has an incidentals cost of $50.00 for Clinic Coat & Safety Glasses.

    • The on campus course is highly competitive, and applicants will be ranked on their CSPA score.
    • Workplace Training applicants will be contacted by TAFE SA to verify employment status before offers are made.
    • It is a requirement that all students have Hepatitis B surface immunity with antibody level 10IU/L or greater. Failure to provide evidence of your immunity during course counselling sessions may result in you not being able to commence your studies. Please enquire for further information.

    Skills covered include communication, working with diverse people, dental radiography, infection prevention and control, medical devices and equipment and workplace safety. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 9 core units and 2 elective units.
