Employment Outcomes

This qualification reflects the role of clinical aromatherapists, who provide therapeutic treatments to address a range of health issues. Practitioners may be self-employed or may work within a larger health service. It supports clinical aromatherapists who may be required to consult, work with and refer to other health care professionals and to demonstrate professional practice within legal and ethical requirements.

Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Qualifications & Skills Covered

Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy (HLT52315)
This course will teach you to recommend and provide specialised treatments that help restore an individual’s physical, mental and spiritual health through the skilled and controlled use of essential oils, hydrosols and base ingredients. To achieve this qualification, students must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
