Noarlunga Meetup – Southern Multicultural Women

Nov 01, 2022

Noarlunga-meetup

Noarlunga lecturer Jessica Svedberg has started a group in the south called 'Southern Multicultural Women' (SMW). They had their first meeting in Term 2 at a cafe in Port Noarlunga.

Past and present AMEP students attended, with the common aim of building connections and exploring local activities together. Two former AMEP teachers, Clare Carter, and Kristin Jones, will be joining the group in the near future.

In the first meeting, students came up with a name and a list of activities they would like to do, including going on local hikes, picnics, coffee outings and inviting guest speakers to present on a range of topics. Jessica expects the group will grow, as students have already said they'll be inviting their sisters and friends.

SMW plan to meet every Friday and children are welcome too!
