Support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

TAFE SA’s Aboriginal Access Centre (AAC) provides support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The AAC offers a variety of programs through a number of TAFE SA sites, including regional and remote locations.

These programs are delivered in collaboration with community organisations, private enterprises, industry associations, government agencies and schools, and provide critical pathways to further training and employment opportunities. Staff also provide vital mentoring support so that Aboriginal people can achieve their learning and employment goals.

The Aboriginal Access Centre supports students through Training Support Officers who:

  • develop Individual Learning Plans to map pathways to future education and/or employment
  • provide support to students through fee assistance and tutorial support for the duration of their course.

Please contact your local Aboriginal Access Centre for further details.
