Description

This course assists students in developing the skills and knowledge required to communicate effectively in an animal care workplace, understand and comply with infection control policies and procedures and contribute to work health and safety in an animal care workplace. Students will work with multiple animal species.

Year 12 Certificate II in Animal Care is a preferred pre-requisite for this course

This stackable skill cluster is best suited to students who have previously studied the Cert II Animal Studies or Cert II Animal Care. Animal handling and husbandry routines are included in this skill cluster; therefore, TAFE SA must be informed of animal phobias and/or allergies prior to the commencement of the course.
