SHORT COURSE

Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) - Upgrade Unit

Description

Are you a vocational trainer or assessor looking to develop your skills and knowledge in designing and developing assessment tools, including tools used in formative, summative and recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment?

By completing this course, you will comply with the Standards for registered training organisations (RTOs) 2015 – a requirement for all trainers and assessors who deliver VET-accredited training.

Participants will be provided access to learning resources and assessment material in an online learning environment. Our qualified and experienced TAE facilitators will provide support and guidance through online forums.

Our face to face model includes a 2-day interactive workshop followed by self-paced learning. The workshop will provide a hands-on approach where participants will develop the skills and knowledge required to unpack units of competency to determine assessment requirements, and to design and develop assessment tools.

Participants will require access to individuals who can assist in the trial and review of the assessment tools developed.

Please note that completion of this short course requires additional homework and assessment outside of class time when studied in a face to face format.

  • Completion of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
