SHORT COURSE

Low Voltage Rescue and Resuscitation (LVR/CPR)

Description

Be prepared to provide rescue and resuscitation to a person who has stopped breathing or is unconscious due to electrical shock. Gain skills in managing the danger of accidental electrocution and learn more about WHS requirements, expectations of a safety observer, and use of a low voltage rescue kit.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is recommended for renewal every 12 months as per the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice.
It is recommended that LVR training is renewed annually to maintain currency and meet industry requirements defined by the Office of the Technical Regulator in line with the Electricity Act 1996 and the Electricity (General) Regulations 2012.

On successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for:
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
