SHORT COURSE

Cheese Making with Love

Description

Meet Caleigh! Caleigh graduated from TAFE SA after completing the Certificate III in Cheese Making. She brings a diverse range of knowledge to the Artisan Cheese Making Academy having worked in various roles within the industry as well as having travelled overseas to hone her skills as a Cheese Maker. When not dreaming of cheese, Caleigh helps run her small family winery and is always happy to talk about matching cheese and wine.

Come and learn the art of cheese making. Caleigh will teach you to make a simple fresh cheese that you can serve at lunch and say, “I made that”.

The day will be filled with cheese making, fun and, of course, lots of tasting. Please bring a plastic container with you to take home the cheese you make.

Light lunch will be provided along with tea and coffee.

  • Protective clothing will be supplied for the factory, including rubber boots and overalls. Ensure you wear shorts or trousers and bring socks with you. Jewellery is not permitted in the factory; nail polish needs to be removed or gloves worn, and long hair should be tied back as it is easier to contain within the hair net. If you have a beard you will be required to wear a beard snood in the factory.

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
