TAFE SA and your local Council are offering this accredited short course designed to help you increase your knowledge of food safety and to enhance the level of professionalism in your region.

Topics covered include:
- Legal requirements of food safety
- How to prevent food spoilage
- Pests and waste control
- Cause and effect of food poisoning
- Food handling practices
- Storage of food
- Personal hygiene

This interactive course is appropriate for anyone involved in food handling.

This short course is offered under State Government funding subsidies. Eligible students must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident, be 16 years of age or over and reside in an eligible regional location. Participants who do not meet the eligibility criteria for State Government funding subsidies will be required to pay the full price $110.

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
