Introduction to Wellbeing and Resilience


This training will provide participants with a general understanding of the principles and practices of wellbeing and resilience, supported by positive psychology research.

The training will also encourage participants to consider how these principles and practices could be more widely applied – in the home, in the workplace, and in working with customers.

Wellbeing is the capacity for leading a flourishing life – as individuals, families, communities, and in our workplaces. The wellbeing toolkit offers the skills to meet the different challenges we all face, with the resources and supports we have available to us.

The training occurs over two full days, generally within a four week period:
> Day 1 – Introduction to key principles and practices
> Learning by doing: Between day 1 and day 2, participants are encouraged to put into practice the skills learned during day 1
> Day 2 – Report back; wellbeing skills continued; next steps

TAFE SA is currently offering South Australian Government subsidised short course across metropolitan locations. Student eligibility criteria for funding:
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Reside in South Australia (specific postcodes for regional locations)
- Over 16 years of age
- Are not enrolled under any other funded program for the same course

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
