WordPress is a free Content Management System (CMS) that allows you to build, design and maintain your own unique website with ease. This short course will introduce you to WordPress and provide you with the opportunity to create an interactive website.
Using the skills developed during this course you could get your small business or start-up online and trading quickly, without the financial stress of having someone else do it for you.
There is no assumed prior knowledge or experience for this course, although it is recommended that you have entry level computer skills and that you are familiar with using the internet.
As an accredited short course there will be an assessment component, comprising of three written tasks and building a functional website using the skills and knowledge you have gained.

*HTML5 is the latest version of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), which is the code or language used for creating a webpage. HTML describes the content and structure of a web page so that it is displayed correctly in a web browser. CSS3 is the latest version of the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) language, which brings design and style, such as colours and fonts, to your webpage by interacting with the HTML elements.

Collaborate is a web-based online classroom collaboration tool that acts as a real-time virtual classroom. Students and lecturer will interact over the internet. You do not need to install any software and you can access the classroom from any computer that has internet connection, or a mobile telephone. That means you do not have to be in the same room together. You can access it from anywhere you have internet and a computer.
