Description

Interior design can improve how we live, work, play and learn. With an emphasis on project-based work, problem-solving and collaborative design studios, this course supports you to create a professional portfolio and networks in the interior design industry. This course aims to build an understanding of social media and digital marketing principles shaping interior design practice and develop creative and technical skills in both commercial and hospitality design. Students will use industry-relevant technologies and tools in interior design practice and analyse the impact of design on human interaction and experience.

    There is an emphasis on furnishings, finishes and aesthetics, environmental sustainability, colour and pattern in interior spaces and historic furnishing styles. It may also include specialist design areas such as facilities for people with disabilities and the aged. To complete the TAFE qualification, you are required to complete all 10 core units and 17 elective units.

    The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Interior Design) is a Flinders University degree offered in collaboration with TAFE SA*.
