This course prepares you to use a range of hospitality operational skills. Graduates are involved in tasks using practical skills and basic industry knowledge and work under direct supervision.
- At Elizabeth campus students pay for their uniform requirements, equipment items are provided free of charge.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. Possible job titles may include Bar Attendant, Café Attendant, Catering Assistant, Food and Beverage Attendant, Front Office Assistant, Porter, Room Attendant.
Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Certificate II in Hospitality
This course includes working effectively with others, use information in the hospitality industry, interacting with customers, cultural sensitivity and workplace safety. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 6 core units and 6 elective units.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
The TAFE SA qualification is subsidised through the Government of South Australia's WorkReady initiative.
To access subsidised training through WorkReady, your suitability to complete the qualification will be assessed. This may include participation in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy pre-assessment.
