Description

This course focuses on developing skills for work undertaken in the community and/or supported accommodation to support individuals with disability, under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisation guidelines and service plans.

    Qualifications & Skills Covered

    Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) (CHC33015)
    Skills covered include independence and wellbeing, communication, working with diverse people, legal and ethical requirements, healthy body systems and safe work practices. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 7 core units and 6 elective units plus you must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.

    Fees

    The TAFE SA qualification is subsidised through the Government of South Australia's WorkReady initiative. To access subsidised training through WorkReady, your suitability to complete the qualification will be assessed. This may include participation in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy pre-assessment.
