Course Admission Requirements

you must have:

  • Certificate III or higher in a Community Services or Health related area
  • Completion of the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA)
  • Evidence of current paid employment/volunteer work in a direct intervention role with families, children and young people in a community services role for a period of 12 months or more and provide evidence of this before an offer is made

    • Note: This existing worker program is specifically aimed at Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and work experience which is set to a ten-week process. You must be able to receive RPL for all units of competency for the qualification. If you are not granted RPL for any of the units of competency for the qualification, you will be referred to blended study or other course options. You will be contacted by TAFE SA to verify employment status before offers are made.
    • Reading, writing and numeracy skills are assessed using the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA). This assessment is used to determine whether you will be required to undertake additional support units alongside your qualification or undertake a pathway course before commencing your chosen qualification. If you receive an offer, more information will be provided at your enrolment session.
