This course provides you with advanced skills and knowledge required to design, develop, build and/or manage websites. It provides the opportunity to work with new and emerging web technologies including HTML5, online interactive design and development, Web 2 Tools and mobile devices.

    • You will receive an offer to both TAFE SA and University, with the University offer being conditional on successful completion of the TAFE SA qualification.
    • You can rest assured you have secured your University offer, pending successful completion of the TAFE SA award.

    • You will receive credit for TAFE SA studies allowing you to complete two awards dependent on the pathway selected.
    • If accepted, you will receive an offer to TAFE SA and-on successful completion of the TAFE SA qualification-an offer to University with no further application required.

    • This is not an entry level course. There are assumed skills and knowledge that are required to commence at the Diploma level. This could be from completing a Certificate IV in Information Technology or equivalent study or from equivalent knowledge and experience. If you cannot meet this requirement you will start your studies at Certificate IV. Additional fees will apply that are not covered by VET Student Loans.
    • Reading, writing and numeracy skills are assessed using the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA). This assessment is used to determine whether you will be required to undertake additional support units alongside your qualification or undertake a pathway course before commencing your chosen qualification. If you receive an offer, more information will be provided at your enrolment session.

    This course covers workplace safety, database integration, copyright, ethics, privacy, building dynamic websites and pages and web technology trends. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 8 core units and 12 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
