Course Admission Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Design
  • or
  • Submission of a folio which provides evidence of your technical skills and ability to produce multiple examples of graphic design work that respond effectively to different design challenges, produce typography that supports the overall design solution and use graphic design industry software

  • Students wishing to access WorkReady funding or VET Student Loans will be required to demonstrate satisfactory reading, writing and numeracy skills as part of course counselling before enrolling.
  • Students will be required to purchase a licence for Adobe Creative Cloud (approx. $30.00/month)
  • The expectation is that a full time study load would equate to approximately 24 hours per week and completion of 4 subjects per term.
  • The expectation is that a part time study load would equate to 12 hours per week and completion of 2 subjects per term.

Diploma Program in Visual Communication
This program is delivered fully online with lecturer facilitation.
The qualification reflects the role of individuals who combine technical, creative and conceptual skills to create designs that meet client requirements and solve a range of visual communication challenges.
You will gain a sound understanding of design theory and practice and the ability to analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources to generate design solutions.

The TAFE SA qualification is subsidised through the Government of South Australia's WorkReady initiative. To access subsidised training through WorkReady, your suitability to complete the qualification will be assessed. This may include participation in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy pre-assessment.
