Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) is a program by the Australian government that offers free training to eligible participants like you!

The SEE program is designed to help you gain confidence and prepare for the job you want or further study by improving important skills such as:

Language

Enhance your English language skills

Literacy

Improve your reading and writing abilities

Numeracy

Boost your maths skills

Digital

Learn how to use digital technologies effectively

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for the SEE program, you should:

  • be between 15 years and aged pension age
  • not be working or studying full time
  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or have working rights in Australia.

Available courses

English Language Skills Training for the childcare sector

Improve your reading, writing and communication skills with Certificate II in Community Services (pathway to Early Childhood Education and Care)(CHC22015) and get ready for employment in the early childhood education and care industry.

Students who complete the course successfully will gain a Certificate II in Community Services (CHC22015) and have the skills to:

  • identify and respond to job opportunities,
  • prepare for interviews,
  • and use relevant digital technology for the workplace and study.

Food Centre Project: Improve Language Skills and Gain Employability

Enrol in our 10-week Food Centre Project short course to improve your language skills, gain employability skills, and make a positive impact on the community.

You'll learn in the classroom and apply your skills through a work placement at The Food Centre, a social supermarket, café, and second-hand shop.

Successful completion of the course earns you a Certificate of Completion, Work Placement Performance Report, and Academic Transcript.

SEE programs are delivered across Australia, including in metropolitan, regional, and remote areas.

You can study part-time or full-time, in classrooms or by distance learning.

SEE Distance Learning

Since 2017, TAFE SA has been the sole provider delivering the SEE program by distance learning Australia wide.

SEE distance learning provides options such as the telephone, internet, and workbooks if you prefer not to attend classes. You'll be supported by lecturers as you study.
