Courses in general operations enable students to learn specialist skills in silver service, food and wine, and set the foundation for working in a hotel, restaurant, cafe, banqueting or catering environment. More advanced studies enable students to develop competencies such as marketing, finance and human resource management, initially preparing for employment in a team leader/supervisor role, and later in a variety of management roles.
