Our Property Services faculty provide training in property investment and conveyancing. The conveyancing program is suitable for those seeking work as a conveyancer or conveyancing clerk in banks, law firms or conveyancing offices. The program is aligned to the regulatory requirements for licencing and registration in this field.
Property Investment & Share Investment
These short courses are aimed at those wanting to learn about investing in property, in particular the local residential property market and share investment. Principles learnt in the course can be applied to all property markets. However case studies, field trips and exercises will be based around the real-life local market. This course is not aimed at students who would like a career in the real estate sales industry; it is for people who want to create their own wealth, through property investment.
Students who are interested in the property investment course may also be interested in our share investment courses.
Units from the Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing provide the specialised skills and legal knowledge necessary to register as a Conveyancer in South Australia. The Advanced Diploma provides students with skills in business, property and the transfer of land which may enable them to establish their own conveyancing business or seek employment with an established firm. The program includes legal principles, contract law, property law, mortgages, reviewing and preparing documents, Land Titles Office procedures and taking a file to settlement.
Students who are interested in conveyancing may also be interested in our Legal Services Program.
Property Conveyancing Courses
The property management course is designed to equip students for entry level positions in the property industry involving rentals (not sales).
The property investment course is mainly designed for individual investors seeking to develop a property investment portfolio, not job seekers. However the Property Investment Course will be of interest to new employees in real estate who wish to improve their knowledge of the property investment market and investor clients.
Conveyancing graduates may find employment as a conveyancing clerk or positions associated with conveyancing roles in the Land Titles Office, financial institutions or legal firms.
