Courses in this area can lead to graduates becoming registered as an apprentice by an employer and progressing towards becoming a fully qualified tradesperson. Automotive qualifications include training in sales, administration, mechanical, vehicle body, outdoor power equipment, bicycles, electrical, and marine. Graduates of vocational education courses are highly competitive applicants for apprenticeship places as automotive electricians, mechanics, panel beaters, spray painters, trimmers, and detailers. These studies may also lead to employment in the highly competitive automotive parts and accessories field or as a trade assistant in a variety of workshops.
