This course is designed for migrants and international degree holders to assist with their transition into the accounting, business and financial services workplace, by giving them practical vocational skills.

This course is specifically aimed at the accounting, bookkeeping and financial service industry job seekers who have international degree in accounting, business, commerce or management international discipline or relevant work experience.

This course is perfect for those wishing to engage in careers such as: a licenced bookkeeper, registered BAS agent, accounts payable officer, accounts receivable officer, payroll officer, stock control officer, inventory manger, store keeper, contracted bookkeeper and accounts supervisor.

- Skills and knowledge required to maintain business taxation accounting records and process lodgements and returns in accordance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements. This includes Goods and Services Tax (GST), Pay-As-You Go (PAYG) tax withheld, PAYG income tax instalments, Luxury Car Tax (LCT), Fringe benefits Tax (FBT), Wine Equalisation Tax (WET), Fuel Tax Credit (FCT), Payroll tax, Work cover and Superannuation
- Skills and knowledge required to modify and operate an integrated MYOB computerised accounting system. This includes Introduction to MYOB, Setup Banking Command Centre, Bank Register, Bank Reconciliation & Petty Cash, Sales Command Centre, Purchases Command Centre, Contra Entries, Consolidation activities, Perpetual inventory system, Cash sales and purchases & Quotes, Orders and backorders and Additional MYOB Features
- Skills and knowledge required recording and preparing payroll documentation, process payroll from provided data in MYOB computerised payroll systems, including Payroll legislation, Superannuation obligations, Payroll calculations, Setting up the MYOB payroll command centre, End of year payroll procedures and payroll reconciliation
- Skills and knowledge required preparing and completing Business Activity Statements (BAS), including BAS compliance requirements, Manual BAS preparation, enter the BAS transactions, adjustments and corrections in MYOB and generate BAS reports in MYOB
