- This course is CRICOS Registered for 2 years, which is made up of 3 semesters of in-class teaching, with the further semester for practical placement. Depending on the timing of a student's placement, some students may finish before the 2 years.
How to Apply
International Course - application process
If you are applying from onshore, generally, you will need to apply for an international course to TAFE South Australia at least two months before you want to start your studies in Australia. If you are applying from offshore it is highly recommended that you apply at least four months in advance.

The term complementary health covers a large range of natural therapies that are used to assist with general health and wellbeing as well as supporting the body and alleviating symptoms associated with a variety of conditions. Many complementary health therapies are recognised by medical professionals taking an integrative approach to health care. Complementary Health is quickly gaining popularity with the general public many of whom are able to claim rebates from Private Health Funds when treated by qualified therapists. Practitioners are working in a range of healthcare settings from home-based clinics to hospitals.

Qualifications & Skills Covered
Diploma of Aromatherapy
10 core units: Reflect on and improve own professional practice; Analyse health information; Develop professional expertise; Manage a practice; Implement and monitor compliance with legal and ethical requirements; Maintain personal health and awareness as a professional responsibility; Analyse and compare different complementary health modalities; Plan a specialised aromatherapy treatment; Monitor and evaluate aromatherapy treatments; Provide specific aromatherapy assessment and care; plus 2 elective units.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
