Course Admission Requirements
(for International Applications)
of 5.5 Overall with minimum of 5.0 in all bands or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of Year 10 or overseas equivalent.
- International students may wish to complete a travel and tourism package consisting of the Certificate III in Travel (1.5 semesters), the Diploma of Travel and Tourism (2 semesters) and the Advanced Diploma of Travel and Tourism (1 semester) for a total duration of 2 academic years (4 semesters). The fee for the 2 year package is $29500. Students will receive a COE and a parchment for each of the courses within the package.
- Students choosing the Certificate III in Travel (1.5 semesters duration) will finish the final units of the Certificate III whilst commencing the Diploma in the July semester). Studying both of these qualifications together for the first part of the semester will not cause an overload of study.
How to Apply
International Course - application process
If you are applying from onshore, generally, you will need to apply for an international course to TAFE South Australia at least two months before you want to start your studies in Australia. If you are applying from offshore it is highly recommended that you apply at least four months in advance.

Jobs in travel and tourism are by nature found wherever tourists want to go. This includes major cities and attractions, as well as on modes of transport needed to take tourists to these destinations. This means there are jobs available in travel and tourism throughout South Australia and all over the world, in famous cities as well as on tours or cruises. Courses focus on study of the industry, wholesale and retail product delivery and human resource management. Specialist streams are available in wine and eco-tourism, guiding and visitor information services, retail sales and marketing, even in caravan park operations.

Certificate III in Travel
This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to work effectively in the travel industry. This incorporates administrative skills, operational knowledge of booking systems including airline reservations and fares and ticketing, and customer service and sales skills. 14 core units plus 3 electives.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
