If you are applying from onshore, generally, you will need to apply for an international course to TAFE South Australia at least two months before you want to start your studies in Australia. If you are applying from offshore it is highly recommended that you apply at least four months in advance.

Employment Outcomes

Courses in general operations enable students to learn specialist skills in silver service, food and wine, and set the foundation for working in a hotel, restaurant, cafe, banqueting or catering environment. More advanced studies enable students to develop competencies such as marketing, finance and human resource management, initially preparing for employment in a team leader/supervisor role, and later in a variety of management roles.Courses in general operations enable students to learn specialist skills in silver service, food and wine, and set the foundation for working in a hotel, restaurant, cafe, banqueting or catering environment. Qualifications & Skills Covered

Certificate III in Hospitality
This certificate builds on Certificate II skills and knowledge to carry out tasks such as preparing and serving drinks at a bar and tables, preparing and serving espresso coffee, providing reception or front desk services, providing housekeeping and room services, providing gaming services and serving food, wine, cocktail and other beverages at tables. This will assist students to work in restaurants, hotels/pubs, motels, catering operations, clubs, cafés and specialist coffee shops.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
