Employment Outcomes

Graduates of this course able to work in a range of organisations where event management takes place, and such organisations are diverse in nature. Examples include professional conference organisers, exhibition and event management companies, sporting associations, community organisations, hospitality and cultural venues. Possible job titles include: event manager; venue manager; conference manager; exhibitions manager.

Advanced Diploma of Events
Understanding the event industry; event concepts; event staging, selecting event venues and sites; conference programs; registration processes; on-site event registration; on-site event management; in-house functions and events; obtaining and managing sponsorship; event proposals and bids; coordinating marketing; making presentations; public relations; marketing strategies; event trends; managing projects; workplace operations; managing people; managing finances; writing business documents; communication skills; business technology; office procedures; OH&S; customer service; product knowledge; logistics; legal requirements for event management; risk management; spreadsheets; and database management.
