    Employment Outcomes

    This course is for people pursuing a career in the exploration sector of the resources industry. The course provides new and existing employees with skills, knowledge and/or recognition required for employment in a mineral and petroleum exploration role. Job roles may include mineral exploration field assistants/technicians, mine samplers and hydrocarbon sample catchers.

    Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

    Certificate III in Mining Exploration (RII30513)
    This course aims to train you to become a geoscience field assistant. Geoscience field assistants work alongside geoscientists in various areas of mineral, oil and gas exploration undertaking various geological duties in the field and office. 7 core units plus 11 electives.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
