    Employment Outcomes

    Events are diverse in nature and this qualification provides a pathway to work in event operations in a range of industries including the tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors. These may be event management companies, event venues, or organisations which organise their own events. Work could be undertaken in an office environment where the planning of events takes place, on-site at venues where events are staged or a combination of both.

    Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

    Qualifications & Skills Covered

    Certificate III in Events (SIT30612)
    This course provides you with the skills to work effectively in an assistant role in the event industry. Event assistants provide administrative and on-site support for a wide range of events, from weddings to business conferences to festivals. This qualification will give you the skills, knowledge and abilities to step into an entry level role in the vibrant event industry or continue your event studies to Diploma and beyond. 5 core units plus 8 electives.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
