Career opportunities exist for employment with translating agencies, freelance and permanent work in diverse areas. These extend across a variety of industry areas such as tourism, export trade, health, law and foreign affairs in both private and public sectors.

Advanced Diploma of Translating
An Advanced Diploma of Translating will strengthen your bi-lingual capabilities by providing you with advanced training in translating a wide variety of texts, including business, commercial, technical, health, marketing and internet content. The course teaches translation skills in general and specialised areas, as well as the processes and practices necessary for quality service delivery.
The qualification is approved by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). Students who meet the NAATI requirements during the course will be recommended for NAATI Paraprofessional Interpreter accreditation at the end of the course.
6 core units plus 6 electives.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
Studying at TAFE SA is one of the easiest pathways towards a University Degree. Credit Transfer is the formal recognition that parts of a TAFE SA course are equivalent in content and level to parts of some University courses.
