    Description

    Certificate IV in Library, Information and Cultural Services is designed to provide or enhance the skills of individuals who perform a range of tasks and who work under supervision within a library environment. This provides a pathway to the Diploma of Library and Information Services.

    Employment Outcomes

    The Certificate IV does not lead graduates in to work as a library technician. This course is to provide them with the skills for a role as a library assistant. The Diploma prepares students for work as a library technician.

    Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

    This course is designed to provide or enhance the skills of individuals who perform a range of tasks and who work under supervision within a library environment. 6 core units plus 9 electives.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.

    This course is subsidised through the Government of South Australia's WorkReady initiative.

    To access subsidised training through WorkReady, your suitability to complete the qualification will be assessed. This may include participation in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy pre-assessment.
