wx TAFE SA can recognise the skills (RPL) you already have. If you are working in the industry and have skills that can be recognised, TAFE SA will provide any additional training needed to gain a qualification.
cx Students wishing to access VET Fee Help will be required to undertake a reading, writing and numeracy assessment before enrolling.
The duration of a workplace course is determined by the study plan.

Course Notes & Special Requirements

  • Applicants with a Certificate III in Horticulture can complete the course in 12 months. Please note that Certificate III fees are not covered by VET Fee Help. Check the Certificate III in Horticulture course page for fee information.
  • If there are more applicants than available places, TAFE SA will make offers based on date of application.

Qualifications & Skills Covered

Diploma of Horticulture (AHC50410)
Undertaking this course will develop skills and knowledge in managing plant health, managing horticultural trials, collecting and managing data, preparing reports, monitoring and managing soils, managing plant cultural practices for amenity horticulture, developing strategies for the management of target pests and collecting and classifying plants. 10 elective units.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
