Employment Outcomes

This qualification covers occupations such as custom-made footwear technical and production roles and 'medical grade' shoemakers.

Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Qualifications & Skills Covered

Certificate IV in Custom Made Footwear
6 units: Develop, design, fit custom-made footwear; prepare, cut and sew custom-made footwear; make patterns; plan and implement production in a work area; assemble and finish custom-made footwear; undertake small business planning. Students produce a range of 3-4 pairs of shoes to their own designs, as well as 1 (one) pair of Boots, as part of their Industry Project work with Rossi Boots.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
