  • This course is for people who work in commercial wind farms.
  • TAFE SA can recognise the skills (RPL) you already have. If you are not able to take time off work to study, TAFE SA will provide any additional training to you while you are on the job, and at your workplace/worksite.

Employment Outcomes

Certificate courses aim to provide training at the operative level to equip students with selected practical, technical and theoretical skills in production engineering as well as basic skills and an overview into engineering vocations. These courses can also equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to enhance their chances of employment as apprentices.

Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Qualifications & Skills Covered

Certificate IV in Engineering
12 core units: Perform engineering measurements; Perform computations; Apply principles of OHS in the work environment; Plan to undertake a routine task; Plan a complete activity; Apply quality procedures; Apply quality systems; Organise and communicate information; Work with others in a manufacturing, engineering or related environment; Interact with computing technology; Assist in the provision of on the job training; Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices; plus elective units.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
