    This course may lead to employment in a range of aged care services in roles such as personal care worker, care assistant, team leader or care co-ordinator.

    Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

    Qualifications & Skills Covered

    Certificate IV in Aged Care
    11 core units including: provide services to older people with complex needs; facilitate support responsive to the specific nature of dementia; implement interventions with older people at risk of falls; advocate for clients; work within a relevant legal and ethical framework; facilitate support for personal care needs; facilitate individualised plans; coordinate information systems; facilitate links with other services; supervise work. Plus 4 electives.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.

    Credit Transfer
