Advanced Diploma Program in Graphic Design (Illustration)
This is a two-year study program, which incorporates both the Diploma of Graphic Design and Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design. All students complete a common core of subject topics and choose their area of specialisation by completing the Graphic Design, Digital Design or Illustration Stream. Students can exit after their first year of study at Diploma level.
Core Subject Topics
The core subject topics are delivered across all three streams and teach the foundation skills and knowledge of Graphic Design. Study topics include design foundations; computer graphics; design art and history; drawing and visual representation; typography; design studio; branding; and design business.
Illustration Stream Subject Topics
This stream is designed to develop a range of visual art skills and knowledge which are necessary in becoming a professional illustrator. Graduates will be skilled in both traditional and digital medias and emerging technologies. Students will produce project-based quality illustrations for varying industries including publishing, advertising, film and game.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
