Our statutory compliance and investigation courses are usually undertaken by those already working in the public sector, who wish to specialise in compliance or investigation relating to legislation, mandated policy or instructions. These courses can be tailored as workplace training for specific government agency staff involved in compliance and investigation.
Courses specialising in statutory compliance and investigation cover areas such as gathering evidence, interview techniques, ethics, government processes, policy implementation and exercising regulatory powers. Units can be selected so that students achieve both qualifications in statutory compliance and investigation.
The courses are structured around:
- Providing underpinning knowledge about law and governance
- Focusing on compliance and/or investigation
Choice of units is influenced by the participant’s background, experience and objectives, as well as by the packaging rules for accredited courses leading to nationally recognised qualifications. All accredited courses provide study pathways and credits for degree qualifications at university.
Some participants and agency staff may not wish to complete an entire course, instead preferring to focus on particular aspects of compliance an investigation. Participants can be issued with an official Statement of Attainment for subjects successfully completed. Additionally, participants in these courses learn from the experience of other participants and further build their professional networks.

Graduates may find work throughout the public sector and specialised government agencies as investigators, compliance officers, inspectors, human resources or finance officers and auditors.
