Mount Barker Campus

Mount Barker campus offers training facilities for students to install and configure ICT network infrastructure, which includes:

  • A dedicated PC Suite which enables students to complete practical activities including configuring switches and routers using Cisco equipment; and
  • A dedicated Networks Lab which enables students install and configure a range of network operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server and Linux using virtual technologies. This also enables students to install and  configure wireless networks.

These facilities are used to deliver current training programs to students on campus, as well as offering online sessions to external students.

Each rooms is equipped with industry standard hardware and software to facilitate up to 15 students. This training environment includes audio visual equipment, internet and WI-FI connection, white boards and printing facilities.

Mount Barker campus includes a Library facility where students can undertake independent learning, and access equipment and resources.

Students will gain current industry skills using Microsoft and Linux server operating systems through virtual technologies, as well as install and configure networking technologies such as Aruba and Cisco.

Students have access to licensed software for home use free of charge through Microsoft Dreamspark for the duration of their learning.
