Youth Work
About Youth Work
Youth work is about helping young people make positive changes in their lives and developing their skills to maintain positive decisions in the future. While this can mean providing specific services such as accommodation, education, training and employment or counselling, youth work programs go beyond homelessness or drug and alcohol issues and are more about community development. Youth workers may work in outreach programs or run community education and recreation programs for local governments or provide a voice for youth on issues including health and employment.
