Technical production training spaces

When you study technical production and design at TAFE SA you work with the latest industry technology and equipment in our purpose-built training spaces at the Adelaide College of the Arts, including a lighting studio with full grid; specialist design studios; workshops for set making, props manufacture and scenic art; theatre and rehearsal spaces; a green room; a fully equipped control room; and wardrobe workrooms for costume maintenance.

There’s also a suite of interconnected production office, specially designed to replicate the typical working environment of a professional production department. This helps to facilitate strong working relationships between the student stage managers and technicians and their lecturers who are all industry professionals with a wealth of experience.

We also have three theatres – an end-stage/proscenium theatre and a black-box theatre – with service facilities including a green room, wardrobe maintenance room, and a control room large enough to accommodate classes. With all this hands-on experience, you’ll graduate with the skills and confidence to take your place in this exciting and dynamic industry.
