Skills for All

Skills for All

TAFE SA is a Skills for All Training Provider.

Skills for All is a South Australian Government initiative that changes the way some TAFE SA courses are funded.

It will give South Australians the opportunity to gain more qualifications at TAFE SA, some with low or no tuition fees for eligible students.

An individual will need to meet course entry requirements and verify their eligibility for the course of their choice before being enrolled in government-funded training.

From 4 November 2013 new criteria will apply to all eligible students who seek to enrol in a Skills for All funded course.  That is, those that are seeking to enrol in a further Skills for All funded course, or a new eligible student who has not undertaken any Skills for All funded training.  Skills SA has released the following information to assist in understanding the new eligibility arrangements;

If you are Under 18 at the time of enrolment you will need to complete the Student Agreement form, signed by a parent or guardian and return it to the campus.

  • Some qualifications at Certificate level I and II may be fully funded (no course tuition fees)
    for the unemployed or those that have not completed secondary education (ie SACE/Year 12 or any other formal qualification). See the fee free for job seekers page.
  • Qualifications at Certificate III level and above will be partially government funded and eligible students will be expected to pay a course fee as well as any relevant incidental fees.

For more information on Skills for All please visit, or find a funded course now.

Anyone applying for TAFE SA courses that are on the government-funded Skills for All list, must apply online through SATAC.

During the TAFE SA online enrolment process you will automatically be provided with a Skills for All Student Number and Training Account.

Use the calculator below to check your eligibility and find out what courses you are able to be funded for. This calculator also appears on course pages to help you calculate your eligibiliy and fees for each course.
