Description

This course is designed to meet the needs of estimators and schedulers in the building and construction field. An estimator is the person who measures and costs the amount of material, labor, plant and equipment needed to complete a job. The estimator will also negotiate with sub-contractors on costs as well as produce material schedules for ordering a delivery.

    Qualifications & Skills Covered

    Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Estimating) (CPC40308)
    Skills covered include risk management, building codes and standards, estimating costs, schedules, structural principles, interpreting plans and tender documentation. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 8 core units and 7 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
