Description

This qualification will prepare you for employment in leadership roles in the entertainment, performing arts, concert, film production, festivals and events industries. You will collaborate with performing artists on several acting and dance shows each year, and our technical students also work on live music performances.

Course Admission Requirements

  • No course admission requirements, however, students wishing to access WorkReady funding or VET Student Loans will be required to demonstrate satisfactory reading, writing and numeracy skills.

    Skills Covered

    Diploma Program in Live Design
    This qualification is a studio-style, industry linked course where you also get to creatively produce your own work. You’ll study and work with Adelaide’s best directors, choreographers, theatre and film makers designing performance spaces, sets, props and costumes. Explore skills including design problem solving, technical drafting, costume rendering, model making and a wide range of specialised technical, creative and conceptual skills. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 5 core units and 10 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.

    Fees

    The TAFE SA qualification is subsidised through the Government of South Australia's WorkReady initiative. To access subsidised training through WorkReady, your suitability to complete the qualification will be assessed. This may include participation in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy pre-assessment.
