  • Employment Outcomes

    This course will give you the skills required to teach English as a second or foreign language. There is an increasing demand for English teachers in various parts of the world and language centres and schools are keen to employ those with training in this specialist area. This course assists experienced, practising teachers in their career development by providing them with an additional specialist teaching area. For teachers who wish to add TESOL to their professional repertoire, this Certificate will provide them with a qualification which will allow them to work within the field in their current employment and assist with applications for positions at specialist language centres in Australia and overseas.

    Certificate IV in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) (10638NAT)
    This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in TESOL either in Australia or abroad. The course covers the skills and knowledge requirements for designing and delivering English language lessons for learners from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds(CALD). The course provides a strong focus on developing and using a range of adult teaching methods to assist English language learners to develop and improve their skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and cross cultural communication skills. To complete this qualification you are required to complete all 7 units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
