The South Australian Government‘s $13.8 million International Student Support Package (ISSP) is designed to assist international students who are currently facing hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
How you can apply for these International Student Support packages will depend on your current and future enrolment.
If you currently hold a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) with a future commencement date with one of South Australia’s three public universities, please refer to option 2. For students who do not have a COE with a university, please refer to option
1. $500 Emergency Cash Grant
This package is for international students currently studying at TAFE SA and living in South Australia whose income has been significantly affected by COVID-19 restrictions.

2. Package and Pathway Students (English, VET or pathway with one of South Australia’s three public universities)
This package is being individually assessed by each university. Each provider may have its own systems and criteria.
University of South Australia
Online applications for a $500 International Student Support Package grant open on Monday 18 May. You will be able to find the web form link and supporting information for the application process on the University of South Australia website.
Applications for the State Government International Student Support Package grant is now open for TAFE SA/Flinders University packaged students. This weblink opens into the application form which contains a number of essential questions that must be answered by the TAFE SA/Flinders packaged international student. Students will be required to submit a recent bank statement that lists transactions from 1st April 2020.
