There is a range of help and support available to people experiencing drug and alcohol issues. Quite often it just takes a phone call to start getting the crucial help needed – be it for yourself or for a friend or family member.

Free online counselling is available 24/7 for yourself or concerned family and friends.

Life Without Barrier’s Drug and Alcohol Counselling service provides one-on-one individualised counselling and group sessions for people with alcohol and/or other drug dependency and/or concerned parents or significant others. Services are available throughout South Australia.

If you or someone you know is struggling with alcohol or substance abuse, Centacare Drug and Alcohol Service (CDAS) can help. CDAS provides counselling support to clients in their homes, at CDAS offices located across metropolitan Adelaide, or by arrangement at a venue where the client feels comfortable. CDAS can be contacted Monday to Friday from 9.00am – 5.00pm .

Services are available throughout South Australian metropolitan and regional locations.

Lifeline provides crisis support and suicide prevention 24 hours, 7 days per week.

 “If you are thinking about suicide or experiencing a personal crisis help is available. No one needs to face their problems alone”.

A free interpreting service for people who do not speak English is available for 13 11 14.

To access this service please:
1) Call TIS on 131 450 and ask to talk to Lifeline on 13 11 14 in the language required.
2) TIS will call 13 11 14 on behalf of the caller.

A call to TIS is the cost of a local call from landlines (additional charges apply for mobiles).
