TAFE SA Barossa Group Industry Tour to Seppeltsfield Winery

Barossa based Bachelor students studying Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management participated in a group industry visit to the iconic Seppeltsfield Winery.

This visit aligned with a key subject for this term, 'managing safety and security' within the workplace. Our students enjoyed a historic tour of the property and were also provided with an overview of risk and assessment and control procedures throughout the visit.

They also topped off the day with a delicious outdoor lunch at Octeine at Seppeltsfield at Seppeltsfield cafe. A big thanks to the Seppeltsfield team for having us. Especially to Nicole, Work, Health and Safety Coordinator; Elain, Head of Retail Sales, Events and Hospitality; and Helen, Customer Service Coordinator.

Congratulations to Selung Lai (2020) and Pwint Phyu Thien (2021), recipients of the Most Outstanding in Hospitality Management award at the 2020/2021 Hospitality, Cookery, Patisserie, Tourism, Events and Travel Graduation and Awards Ceremony.

This award, sponsored by Adelaide Casino, was presented by #TAFESA 's Craig Ward, Director, Business and Arts (2020) and Dr Norman Baker, Executive Director, Education Operations (2021).
