Student Story - Fumika Takagi

Let's take a moment to appreciate TAFE SA International student, Fumika Takagi’s eye-catching work!

Fumi finished her Photography and Photo Imaging qualification in 2020 and has since worked for clients including Adelaide Fringe and Volunteering SA & NT, which Fumi said, “were incredible experiences and opportunities”. Fumi expressed, “my dream is to become a photographer between Australia and Japan, so I keep going and focus on my work to improve my skills. It is challenging to work in another country, but it's important to never give up on your dream”.

This year Fumi is back at TAFE SA growing her skillset yet again by studying Website Development.

Awesome work, Fumi!

International Men’s Day

international mens dayInternational Men’s Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on November 19 to recognise and celebrate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of men.

For International Men’s Day, TAFE SA Hair and Barbering team offered a 50% discount on all barber services for Movember.

The service ran at our Adelaide City Campus until the end of the month. People booked in for a haircut, face shave or beard or moustache trim. What wonderful work!

Gin Masterclass run by TAFE SA Graduate Aaron Formosa

gin masterclassHospitality students had the pleasure of attending a Gin Masterclass at Regency Campus run by TAFE SA Graduate Aaron Formosa. This class provided students with a real taste of what the industry is all about.

“I like to create experiences for people like providing a tasting and seeing their reaction and enjoyment, and helping them learn,” said Aaron Formosa, TAFE SA Graduate and Brand Ambassador for Applewood Distillery.

Thank you Aaron! The students can't wait to have you back.
